What is llms.txt?
llms.txt is a plain-text (Markdown) file placed at a website's root that gives AI systems a concise, structured overview of what the site offers and links to its most important pages. Proposed at llmstxt.org, it functions for AI assistants much like robots.txt does for crawlers and sitemap.xml does for search engines: a single, easily parsed entry point. A typical llms.txt opens with the product name, a one-line summary in a blockquote, and curated link sections (core pages, guides, pricing, developer resources) so a model can orient itself without rendering JavaScript.
Why it matters for Reddit marketing
As AI agents increasingly read and evaluate sites on a user's behalf, a clean llms.txt makes your most important context trivially available. Without it, the model must infer your offering from cluttered HTML — or skip you in favor of a competitor whose information is easier to parse.
How RedditGrow helps
RedditGrow's own site ships an llms.txt and a machine-readable pricing.md so AI assistants can understand and recommend it. The same principle applies to your product: pair an llms.txt with strong third-party presence so models both understand you and trust you.
